Local help along the coast

Great Yarmouth has always looked after itself, from the fishing fleet to the holiday trade. Many of the people we meet here have run guest houses, worked the seasons on the seafront or spent a lifetime in the offshore and energy industries. Their wills need to reflect that: a business to pass on, a property that has been both home and livelihood, or savings built up over many years of hard work.

We visit people right across the borough: Gorleston-on-Sea and Bradwell, Caister-on-Sea and Ormesby, Hemsby, Martham and Winterton up the coast, Belton and Burgh Castle on the edge of Breydon Water, and the town itself from Southtown to the Northgate end.

We come to you

Whether you are in a flat overlooking the sea at Gorleston, a bungalow in Caister or a farmhouse out towards Fleggburgh, we will come to you at a time that suits. We go through everything at your own table, and when your documents are ready we hand deliver them for signing rather than trusting them to the post.

Things Great Yarmouth families often ask us about

  • Leaving a guest house, shop or other small business in a will
  • Holiday homes and static caravans, and how they pass on
  • Mirror wills for couples who have both been married before
  • Lasting powers of attorney so family can help with finances if health fails
  • Making sure an unmarried partner is provided for

Questions from Great Yarmouth families

Do you cover Gorleston and Caister as well as the town?

Yes. We visit the whole of the Great Yarmouth area, including Gorleston, Bradwell, Caister, Hemsby, Martham and the villages in between.

Can I leave my static caravan or holiday home in my will?

Usually yes. A holiday home is dealt with like any other property. A static caravan is normally treated as a possession, subject to the site owner's rules, and can be gifted in your will. Tell us about it and we will explain.

I work offshore and am away for weeks at a time. Can we still do this?

Yes. We will fit the meetings around your rota, and your partner or family can be seen at the same visit if that helps.

Do you also cover Lowestoft?

Yes. Lowestoft is just down the coast and we regularly visit families there too.

Ready to talk it through?

Get in touch and we will arrange a time that suits you. We are happy to come to your home if that is easier.
